My husband is so many wonderful things, and “fruit carver” is one of them. He is also an excellent instructor. Watch the 4 minute video on how to carve a strawberry into a rose below, and then you, too, can add “fruit carver” to your resume. When the strawberry is carved like this, it is presented to your palette in a completely different manner. Very “full”. Hard to describe. Just try it and you’ll understand. : )
I made a chocolate yogurt using a 32 oz tub of plain yogurt, ¼ cup of honey, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/8 tsp salt, and ¼ – ½ cup of cocoa. It will still be a little tart.
Hubby laid the yogurt as a base on a plate, then he layered sliced up kiwi and strawberries. The sweet from the fruit balanced out the tang from the yogurt. It was delicious! And we all devoured it—kids included.
